The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey

This amazing story is an account of Theodore Roosevelt’s expedition on the River of Doubt, an uncharted tributary of the Amazon River. The book is biography, natural history and hair-raising adventure all rolled into one. The team experiences incredible hardships and one seemingly insurmountable challenge after another; from disease, starvation and dangerous river rapids to cannibalistic Indians and murder. Roosevelt nearly loses his life and it’s hard to believe anyone survived at all. Great movie material and hopefully Hollywood will get their hands on this one.
